Para Rubber Honey

Rubber production in Myanmar is centred in Mon and Kayin States. Central Mon State has the greatest concentration of rubber trees. 
​
Rubber honey is made from the rubber tree. Not from nectar found inside the flowers but from a nectar-secreting gland on the young leaf petioles.
 
There are a significant number of plantations with abundant beekeeping opportunities. Hives are placed inside the plantation at ground level.
 
  • Harvest: February to May  
  • Flavour: Unique and pleasant with light aroma
  • Colour: Light amber
  • Health: Rich in iron and zinc, useful for wound healing, acne or eczema, and prostate health.
